This is the fifth question type in the Speaking Section. Test takers will be asked a question about common sense and will be required to respond with only one word or a very simple phrase. This question type typically contains 5 to 6 questions.

Tips

Do not be nervous to respond because the points for this question type account for a very minor proportion in the Speaking Section. If you have the time, go through the question bank on occasion; otherwise, skip this question type during PTE preparation.

Time Period

The response recording time limit is 15 seconds. If test takers pause for 3 seconds during response recording, the microphones will close.
